Joseph T. Morley Mr. Joseph T. Morley, 83, of Methuen, died peacefully at his home on Saturday morning surrounded by his family. The son of the late Florence Foulkes, Joseph was born and raised in Methuen and attended Methuen Public Schools. He graduated from Methuen High School and North Shore Community College. Joseph joined the Navy and served his country during World War II in Korea. He continued with his military career serving in the United Sates Army in which he was called to active duty during the Vietnam War. Joseph was in United States Air Force and served as a crash firefighter. He rejoined the Navy reserves and retired as a Chief in the United States Navy. Joseph was a Lawrence firefighter for twenty years until his retirement. He was also a licensed gas fitter. Joseph was active in various organizations. He was past Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars- Methuen Post and he was a 32nd degree Mason. Joseph was a Eucharist Minister at St. Lucy’s Parish in Methuen, MA and was a second order Franiscan. Other organizations he was involved with are The American Legion and The Elks. He lived his life to the fullest always generous and giving and offering help to anyone who needed it. Joseph always saw the brighter, funnier side of things. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria B. (Savinelli) Morley of Methuen. His sons, Michael D. Morley and wife Sharon (Mickee) Morley of Haverhill. Matthew D. Morley and wife JoAnn(Bush) Morley of Methuen and James D. Morley of Methuen. Joseph leaves behind six grandchildren Melanie (Morley) Foley of North Andover, Michael D. Morley II of Manchester, NH. Ashley Morley, Christine Morley, James Morley and Juliana Morley all of Methuen. Joseph also leaves behind four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are 4PM-8Pm on Tuesday, November 16 at the Cautaudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Lucy’s Parish in Methuen and burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
