Francis M. "Moe" Moran

NORTH DARTMOUTH - Francis M. "Moe" Moran, 70, died peacefully at home on Monday, July 9, 2007 surrounded by his family.
Born and educated in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Lt. John Moran and Grace Hall.
Frank attended St. Rita's Grammar School and was a graduated of Central Catholic High School with the class of 1955.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 and was honorably discharged.
He was a fire fighter with the City of Lawrence, beginning his career with engine 2 on Garden Street, Feb. 4, 1962 and completed his career with engine 5 retiring in Nov. 28, 1992. For more than 15 years he worked part-time with the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home in Methuen. He was a member of the Lawrence Fire Department Local #146. He was past president of the Mutual Relief Association.
He leaves his wife of 12 years, Joyce (Reed) Moran of North Dartmouth; one daughter, Tracy Moran of Manchester, N.H.; step-children, Stephen Desrosiers and his wife Robyn of Somerset, William Desrosiers Jr. and wife Stacy of North Dartmouth and Susan Gilbert and her husband Marc of Connecticut; two brothers, Joseph and his wife Lorraine Moran of Salem, N.H. and Howard and his wife Edna Moran of Lawrence; grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew Desrosiers of Somerset and Daniel Desrosiers of North Dartmouth. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA 01844.
