Edward F. Johnson

LAWRENCE -- Edward Frances Johnson, 80, formerly of Seabrook, N.H., died Monday at Prescott Nursing Home in North Andover.
Mr. Johnson was the superintendent of fire alarms for the City of Lawrence for more than 25 years and retired at the age of 62. He also worked for AVCO and McGovern Realty.
Born in Lawrence, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He also attended Lowell Technical College.
He served in the Navy and received several medals including Good Conduct, World War II Victory and American Campaign medals.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club and Merrimack Country Club.
The widower of Evelyn (Biron) Johnson, he leaves son and daughter-in-law Edward F. and Jean of Methuen; daughter Donna of Methuen; brothers Walter of Derry, N.H., and Donald of Goffstown, N.H.; and sister Irene Wunderlich of Florida.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Lawrence. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lawrence.
